Palisades Americanism Parade

  • This event features an old fashioned Independence Day parade followed by entertainment and a fireworks display.
  • When: July 4, 2:00 parade, 6:30 pm entertainment, 9:00 pm fireworks
  • Where: Parade on Sunset Blvd. in Pacific Palisades between de la Paz and Drummond St. Entertainment and fireworks featured at Palisades Charter High School.

Rose Bowl Americafest 2010

  • Known as the biggest and best fireworks show in California, the Rose Bowl will deliver a full day of of family fun with food and entertainment.

Marina Del Rey

  • Traditional fireworks extravaganza over the main channel in Marina del Rey programmed to patriotic music over loudspeakers in Chase Park.

Redondo Beach Fireworks Celebration

  • Come together for a unique gathering at Seaside Lagoon to celebrate the 4th of July with the community, friends and family.

Fireworks at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum

  • This free fireworks show launched from near the LA Memorial Coliseum is not actually in the Coliseum, but can be viewed from areas around Exposition Park. Bring blankets or lawn chairs to enjoy the show.

Queen Mary BBQ, Brews and Red, White & Blues

  • The Queen Mary Independence Day celebration will be an old-fashioned BBQ with corn-on-the-cob, baked beans, funnel cake and other barbecue favorites. For desert, there’s a build-your-own strawberry shortcake station. There will be 2 stages of live music, strolling entertainers and a children’s area, culminating in the 4th of July fireworks show.

Long Beach July 4th Bike Parade

  • Children and adults are encouraged to decorate their bikes for this annual patriotic procession on wheels that takes place on the beach bike path in Long Beach. In addition to the bike parade, the event will include competitions for children 12 and younger, including a Patriotic Oratory Competition (advance submission required), watermelon seed spitting, and a patriotic costume contest.

Annual Dennis P. Zine Extravaganza in Woodland Hills

  • Huge Fourth of July fireworks festival in the West Valley with food vendors, play zone, a free concert and fireworks show.

“All-American High” Independence Day BBQ

  • Enjoy an “All-American High” Independence Day BBQ at this rooftop lounge with panoramic views of Venice Beach. Guests should come hungry for classic American grub like burgers, hot dogs, corn on the cob, chips and dip, mac ‘n’ cheese, watermelon and a s’mores bar.

  • If you’re gonna be in LA for the 4th, you may as well do it up Hollywood style. This hotel is celebrating all weekend with specials including the Tropicana’s pool parties on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Includes a poolside BBQ station (July 4th only, 12pm-5pm) with a choice of all-American burger, hot dog or BBQ chicken, with either potato salad or Caesar salad, chips and grilled corn on the cob for $10. (Vegetarian offerings available upon request.) There will also be outdoor billiards in the garden during the weekend.

  • This West Hollywood popular hangout is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, so you know it’s going to be a real party. After all, Independence Day shouldn’t go down as the worst day of the year for little Fifi.
