Today's Tickets @ 2 Song: "Please Come Home For Christmas" by Eagles

Making her acting comeback at the crisp age of 88, Betty White has eased her way back into the hearts of America and has stolen the spotlight from many of the young celebrities in their prime.  White has made us laugh as the oldest host on Saturday Night Live, secured a starring role on the new TV Land series Hot In Cleveland and has become the newest pin-up girl in her own monthly calendar. Even with her busy schedule, White shows no signs of stopping and is adding not one, but two book deals to her list.

Betty White is as sharp and witty as her days as a Golden Girl, and America has fallen in love with her pleasant personality and full-of-life mentality all over again. The Emmy-winning actress is still keeping busy with her new TV Land sitcom and penning two books for G.P. Putnam’s Sons about what she knows best; life lessons and zoo animals in the Los Angeles Zoo.

Listen Up! is planned for a 2011 release, and will discuss White’s observations throughout life on every topic from love, sex, relationships, celebrity and her comeback into Hollywood.  Her second book titled The Zoo and I: Betty and Her Friends will debut in 2012 and feature photos and stories of White’s favorite zoo pals in the LA Zoo, where she is part of the board.

“Betty White is a national treasure,” said Ivan Held, president of the publishing group, according to Penguin’s website. “Her wide-ranging appeal and irrepressible humor transcends generations, readers and cultures. She truly is one of a kind.”

There’s really no limit to what Betty White is capable of doing, and as long as she keeps working on new projects, people will embrace every moment she shares with the world.  White added she just enjoys doing what she loves saying, “Much as I love what I do for a living in show business, I love writing even more.”
