He’s worked with [lastfm]U2[/lastfm], [lastfm]Talking Heads[/lastfm] and [lastfm]David Bowie[/lastfm]. He was a member of [lastfm]Roxy Music[/lastfm]. Now, musician and superproducer [lastfm]Brian Eno[/lastfm] will celebrate the end of his 40th year in music with a new album, coming out in early November.

The album will be entitled Small Craft On A Milk Sea and is set to be released in the United States on November 2. As has been the trend lately, the record will be available as a regular CD, in a “collector’s edition boxed set” and a limited edition boxed set,” with the latter two including goodies like a vinyl copy, lithograph prints, and autographs.

Eno, now 62 years young, last released a solo album in 2005. Since then, he’s also released the superlative-inducing Everything That Happens Will Happen Today with [lastfm]David Byrne[/lastfm] and, most importantly, he’s helped [lastfm]Coldplay[/lastfm] produce the album that turned the British band into the new [lastfm]U2[/lastfm]:

Does Eno on his own interest you? Or is he best when collaborating with other great musicians?
