[lastfm]Ronnie Wood[/lastfm] doesn’t cut solo albums very often (his last was in 2001), which makes the Sept. 28 release of his brand-new collection I Feel Like Playing a noteworthy event. The Stones and Faces guitarist brought in guests like [lastfm]Slash[/lastfm], [lastfm]Jim Keltner[/lastfm], [lastfm]Billy Gibbons[/lastfm], and [lastfm]Bobby Womack[/lastfm] on a bluesy, guitar-based set that, paired with his gritty voice, feels like the distilled essence of road-tested, frills-free rock ‘n roll.

Ronnie Wood I Feel Like Playing

  1. Lorelei McBroom says:

I have worked with Ron Wood while singing on tour with the Rolling Stones and I am delighted to hear him doing a solo project! I am very impressed with the lyrics of this song (although I wish they’d mixed them just a little brighter and higher so he’d be even easier to understand.) He is a very gifted painter and an all around cool person. I wish him the best of luck with this CD! The free download is a great idea too! – Lorelei McBroom
