[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Beatles[/lastfm] are finally – FINALLY – on iTunes, and Sir [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Paul McCartney[/lastfm] seems pretty thrilled by the arrangement.

“It’s fantastic to see the songs we originally released on vinyl receive as much love in the digital world as they did the first time around,” he said.

[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Beatles[/lastfm]’ catalog went live on the site today, and in addition to picking up individual tracks or albums, fans can buy the entire catalog in one swoop. Doing so will also earn the fan the never-before released “Live at the Washington Coliseum 1964″ concert film, which documents the [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Beatles[/lastfm]’ first American performance.

Reaction from the other [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Beatles[/lastfm] stakeholders was equally positive, if a bit more wry.

“I am particularly glad to no longer be asked when the Beatles are coming to iTunes,” said [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Ringo Starr[/lastfm].

“In the joyful spirit of “Give Peace A Chance,” I think it is so appropriate that we are doing this on John’s 70th birthday year,” said [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Yoko Ono[/lastfm].

But Olivia Harrison, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]George Harrison[/lastfm]’s widow, put it most succintly: “[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Beatles[/lastfm] on iTunes-Bravo!”

If you’ve already got the CDs, the vinyl, the eight-tracks, or any of the other consumer audio [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Beatles[/lastfm] experiences, will you still go on to iTunes and get your favorites digitally?
