The original manuscript for Bob Dylan‘s “The Times They Are A-Changin'” has sold for $422,500 at a New York auction, reports BBC News. A political snapshot of the 1960s, the price suggests today’s fans still find the lyrics relevant.

The Trends team looks at Dylan’s charts to find out which era of his long-spanning career is most popular with his listeners.

“Like A Rolling Stone” has been his most popular track both in the six-month chart (shown above), and via all-time plays: to date, it’s had 3,017,234 scrobbles from 520,346 listeners. Released on 1965’s Highway 61 Revisited, it came out just after “The Times…” in 1964. The rest of Dylan’s top ten were all released in the 1960s and ’70s, remaining firm favorites today.

dylantrend Trends: The Price Of Bob Dylan“The Times They Are A-Changin'” currently gains over 6,000 listeners per week. However, there’s a listening spike on all his top ten in early November, which is likely due to the release of The Original Mono Recordings and The Witmark Demos the previous month.
