On ‘Tickets @ 2’ be listening for “Call Me,” by [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Blondie[/lastfm], then call me! We’ll take caller number 12 for those Smokey Robinson tickets at Pachanga Resort & Casino.

“Call Me” was the most successful of all Blondie singles, and it was the best-selling single of 1980.

European Disco producer Giorgio Moroder wrote this with Blondie lead singer Debbie Harry. However she hadn’t been Moroder’s first choice. The Italian disco king originally wanted Stevie Nicks to sing the track, but the [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”] Fleetwood Mac[/lastfm] vocalist declined the offer.

You may remember the song appearing in the film American Gigolo.

Caller number 12 scores the Smokey tickets at 1-800-232-KRTH. (5784)!

  1. RainbowRay says:

I still have that single (Call Me) as well as The Tide Is High, One Way or Another, and Heart of Glass. She has always been one of my favorite from childhood.
