Be checking us out between two and three for “Tonight’s The Night” by [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Rod Stewart[/lastfm], it’s the ‘Tickets @ 2’ song of the day for K-Earth, Wind, & Fire tickets! Although this hit was #1 in the U.S., it didn’t even make the airwaves across the pond because of its lyrics.

This hit reached #1 on the chart in 1976, but was never released in England because of the suggestive lyrics. The Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section played on this. They were a famous group of session musicians who made a living playing hits for prominent singers like [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Aretha Franklin[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Wilson Pickett[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Bob Seger[/lastfm].

In 2003, a musical called Tonight’s The Night opened in London. The show featured Rod Stewart hits in much the same way as Abba’s show Mamma Mia.

Be caller # 10 for those coveted Earth, Wind, & Fire tickets at the Honda Center this Saturday, 1-800-232-KRTH (5784).
