While Oscar host James Franco and Black Swan are both nominated for Oscars tomorrow night, they’re not the front runners.  But who cares?!?!  Tonight they picked up Independent Spirit Awards!

Franco picked up the award for Male Lead for 127 Hours at the low key soiree that honors the best in independent film making.  In accepting his award for playing the ill-fated hiker Aron Ralston, Franco said, “It was a crazy, crazy experience…that I don’t think I’ll ever repeat.”

But the night’s dominating force was Black Swan, which picked up awards for Best Feature, Leading Actress (Natalie Portman, an almost certain shoe in for an Oscar night win as well), Best Cinematography (Matthew Libatique) and Best Director (Darren Aronofsky).

Winter’s Bone baddies Dale Dickey and John Hawkes landed the female and male supporting acting awards.

Oscar-favored feature The King’s Speech was only eligible for the Best Foreign Film category, which it handily won.
