Looking for a new jam to help ring in the festivities of your Cinco De Mayo celebration? [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Cheap Trick[/lastfm] has revamped their classic ’70s hit “Surrender” by mashing up their rocking guitars with the peppy spurts of trumpets with a full Mariachi band adding a traditional Mexican sound to the song. Watch Rob Zander, Rick Nielsen and Tom Petersson of Cheap Trick mixing in a little Espanol of a Mariachi band and of course bottles of Tequila in honor of Cinco De Mayo!

To help promote the Hornitos Tequila Mariachi Mash Up competition that challenges bands to cover 5 songs, including Cheap Trick’s “Surrender,” Mariachi style, Cheap trick added a little Mexican flavor to vamp up their famous hit.

Grab some chips, salsa and a bottle of Tequila and watch the Mariachi mash up of the classic hit!
