Here it is, a # 1 hit worldwide on ‘Tickets @ 2,’ it’s “Dancing Queen” by [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]ABBA[/lastfm].

It was written by ABBA members Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson. They drew inspiration from the 1974 [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]George McCrae[/lastfm] disco hit “Rock Your Baby.” This was ABBA’s only # 1 hit in the US, but they did have 14 songs crack the Top-40 here in The States.

Regarding the lyrics, “Night is young and the music’s high,” many listeners interpret this as a statement that music makes you feel high. In ABBA’s part of the world, it simply means that the music is loud.

We’ll take caller # 15 when it plays between two & three for tickets to the 2011 Nascar Spring ‘All-Star’ race viewing party at K-1 Speed Indoor Go Karting in Torrance, plus a pair of Go Kart racing passes; 1-800-232-KRTH (5784).

A great ABBA song and I sure miss Fiona, my “Dancing Queen!” XXXXOOOO darling. You’re the prime meridian in my world and the prime number in my mathematical equation. Would you care to check out my square roots? HA! HA! HA!
