This was/is my all time favorite Western TV series, that I watched faithfully, on a week-to-week basis. I recorded most of the later shows, from the 1970’s on VHS, when the show went onto syndication. The storylines were superb and the cast members were excellent in their craft, showing real depth of character. And the Marshal, James Arness, as Matt Dillon… He was a superstar and made the show the hit it was. I had no idea he was still alive. I thought like the other cast members, he had already passed. I’m sure that Matt, Doc, Miss Kitty, Festus and all the rest of the regulars are having a great time in Heaven.
