I want to thank our good pal Lou Adler for joining us this morning. This Hollywood legend is behind such events as the Monterey Pop Festival, The Rocky Horror Picture Show and the owner of the Roxy Night club in West Hollywood.

Lou joined us this morning to talk about the 44th anniversary of the groundbreaking Monterey Pop Festival, which has featured such amazing artists as [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Otis Reading[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Jimi Hendrix[/lastfm] setting his guitar on fire and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Janis Joplin[/lastfm]. We asked him of his memories of the festival, and how close he came to bringing the Beatles to Monterey for the festival!

Finally as you might be aware of, Lou is a die-hard Los Angeles Lakers fan, and can be seen sitting court side at almost every Lakers game with his good pal Jack Nicholson.

Since we had him on, we had to ask who actually buys the seats, and his answer may surprise you. Once again I want to than Lou for joining us this morning and hopefully we’ll get to talk to him again real soon!
