Today's Tickets @ 2 Song: "(Christmas)Baby Please Come Home" by U2

‘Tickets @ 2’ is all about a “Magic Carpet Ride” for a 4-pack of tickets (Park Hoppers) to The Magic Kingdom. When we play [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Steppenwolf[/lastfm] this afternoon between two and three.

The group wrote the song based on a concept their bass player, Rushton Moreve, came up with.

This was the second big hit for Steppenwolf. “Born To Be Wild” was released a few months earlier. They were on different albums, with “Born To Be Wild” on their first and this on their second album.

John Kay wrote the lyrics, inspired when he put a demo tape in a home stereo system he purchased with royalties from their first album. That’s where he came up with the line, “I like to dream, right between my sound machine,” sitting between the two speakers.

Just be caller 18 to win those Park Hoppers, 1-800-232-KRTH. (5784)
