Back in April, we told you [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Monkees[/lastfm] were hitting the road with their An Evening with The Monkees – The 45th Anniversary Tour, which actually included a stop in Los Angeles last month.  But now comes word they’ve cancelled the remainder of their with 13 shows left to play.

The main question is why did they cancel the remainder of their tour?  Well, right now no one knows.  No explanation has been given.  The only statement released is seen on the group’s Facebook page from Davey Jones’ representative, “It has been determined that the remainder of The Monkees 2011 tour has been cancelled. No reason has been given at this time … We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your continued support of The Monkees.”

There have been multiple rumors online that the guys in the group are known to not get along when on the road.  But again, no one knows for sure the reason for the cancellation.

As soon as we hear we’ll let you know!
