Video: The Original K-EARTH 101 Jingles From 93 KHJ

In 1965, radio station 93 KHJ became a Top-40 radio station which featured a very “tight” playlist of music to become known as “Boss Radio.”  One of the most recognizable features of Boss Radio at 93 KHJ were the jingles.  The station featured legandary DJ’s such as Robert W. Morgan, Charlie Tuna and The Real Don Steele, all who eventually made their way to K-EARTH 101.

All of the 93 KHJ jingles are identical to the K-EARTH 101 jingles you hear today.  Take a listen!

I remember the old jingles from 1050 CHUM in Toronto (an oldies station I used to listen to when I was growing up). They have since gone all news which is a damn shame I think. “Jungle Jay Nelson”, “Shotgun” Tom RIvers, Bob McGee etc (remeber them all very well).

In the mid to late 60’s, 93 KHJ was a powerhouse radio station. “It was to the 60’s as KMET was to the 70’s.” The station had a legendary linep of disc jockeys and the atmosphere was pure fun.
