Did You Know: “September” By K-Earth, Wind & Fire

‘Tickets @ 2’ is a winner from K-Earth, Wind, & Fire, it’s “September.”

Allee Willis, who wrote the song with Maurice White and Al McKay from the group who describe the hit as “Joyful Music.”

Although many people hear the first words in the chorus as “Party On,” it’s really “Bada-Ya.” While there are some theories as to the “21st night of September” in the opening lyric, Willis said: “The words just felt right!”

We’ll take caller # 14 to win those ‘function at the junction’ tickets, the 31st annual where Sunset meets Santa Monica Boulevard in Hollywood at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784).

September has special significance for me, especially with the upcoming TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival). During this period, I plan to “propose to Fiona”. “Rainbow Ray’s Piksh Plaksh (dad said this when I was a toddler) Proposal Proposal”. The proposal period takes place the entire 10 days of the festival (have been working on it for the past 4 or 5 months) and will put behind the past forever.
