While this event was organized with the best intentions for fans all around the world to enjoy the King of Pop’s music as sung by some of the biggest artists of the time, Michael Jackson fan clubs are back lashing against show due to the inappropriate timing taking place during Dr. Conrad Murray’s trial.

Fan clubs around the world are banding together to stop organizers from continuing with the show because of certain factors that will make the tribute “doomed to fail.” So should the show go on or be canceled/postponed to a better date? See what all the outcry is about and let us know what you think.

Thirty five fan clubs around the world have joined together to write an open letter to the tribute concert’s organizers noting their disapproval for the ill-timed show set to take place on October 8th — during which Dr. Conrad Murray’s trial is being held. They voiced their opinion on several factors that they say is setting this tribute show up for failure, including the timing, charity donations, pricing and more.

“From the timing of this tribute, in the middle of Dr. Murray’s trial, to the ticketing prices, to the obscurity over what charities will be receiving the donation, to the no-guarantee policy of performers, the addition of Gene Simmons and dishonoring, thus tarnishing Michael Jackson’s legacy was simply the last straw,” reads the letter, posted to the “Fans Against Michael Forever Tribute” Facebook page.

The organizers Global Live Events recently dropped the rock band KISS from the lineup after fan outcry poured in surrounding statements Gene Simmons made about MJ’s molestation charges.

So do you think all these factors are setting up the tribute concert for failure and should ultimately be canceled, or should the tribute show go on?! Let us know what you think!
