Be listening for “Oye Como Va” by [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Santana[/lastfm] on ‘Tickets @2’ between two and three.

Salsa legend Tito Puente wrote the song and recorded it in the early ’50s. While Puente was very popular in the Latin community, Santana’s cover became a hit and helped introduce Puente to a wider audience.

The word at the beginning “Sabor” translates to “Flavor.”

Gregg Rolie, who sang lead on Santana’s early hits, took the lead on this one. Rolie was a founding member and keyboard player for Santana before joining Journey in 1973.

We’ll take caller #14 to win tickets to see the Duke Ellington Orchestra, and dinner for two at Panera Bread at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784).
