Remembering 9/11/01: Christina Kelley, On-Air Personality

Wow, it doesn’t feel like it was 12 years ago that we were all affected by the terrorist attacks on 9/11. I remember being in Paris at the time and watching the continuous news reports in crowded restaurants, hotels, and bars on CNN.

Because all of the TV’s there had been switched over to the English language feed of CNN but the conversations people were having about the attacks were mostly in French, it all felt like a really, really bad dream. All of the phone lines were jammed and it was impossible to make a phone call to the United States for many days.

I remember praying for the victims and their families and wondering what would happen next and what the response from the U.S. would be and when it would come.

Now, 12 years later Bin Laden is dead and our brave troops continue to fight the war on terror. Unfortunately, many of our civil liberties here at home have been trampled on and destroyed in the name of the fight. But even with that we’re still a strong and great country and they will never win. God bless our troops and God bless America.

A heartwarming story; like I said before, everyone has a story to tell as to where they were and what they were doing.
