Today's Tickets @ 2 Song: "Rock With You" by Michael Jackson

The ‘Tickets @ 2’ song of the day is “Crocodile Rock” by [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Elton John[/lastfm]. [photogallerylink id=54044 align=left]

It tells the story of a guy in the ’50s and ’60s who frequented a  restaurant where the patrons loved an obscure dance called the Crocodile Rock, however this little known dance forever vanished into history and no one cared anymore.

Even his girlfriend left him. So in reality this catchy song is really a sad song. It was the first of many #1 singles by Elton in the US.

When we play it between two and three we’ll take caller #15 to win those [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Bob Seger[/lastfm] tickets by calling 1-800-232-KRTH (5784).

  1. RainbowRay says:

That one’s from the early 70’s I believe. Doesn’t Elton John look so young? He is now in his 60’s now I believe and he has one son with his partner (who happens to be from Toronto).
