Many fans and supporters of Michael Jackson felt justice was served when Dr. Conrad Murray was convicted of involuntary manslaughter on Monday. Now being held in the medical ward in jail upon waiting for his sentencing date on Nov. 29th, many are wondering how much time Murray will get in jail and whether overcrowding will lighten the sentence.

TMZ’s Harvey Levin joined the K-EARTH 101 Morning to give his take on this issue, plus talks about the controversial new documentary about Murray’s relationship with Michael that was just sold to a few major networks.

The documentary titled Michael Jackson and The Doctor: A Fatal Friendship shows an interview with the doctor prior to his charge and will air on several networks around the world including NBC. The documentary was made while Murray was awaiting trial and during, and will get “some profit participation,” according to Levin.

“I can tell you, it is really candid and raw,” Levin says about the documentary. “He talks about Michael Jackson and some of the things he says are flattering and some of the things are really, really bad.”

And as for his awaiting sentencing at the end of the month, Levin says there are a few factors that could play into how much time he gets. If he’s sentenced to the max of four years, Murray will get max of two years in jail because of overcrowding, and Levin says he’ll be a likely candidate for house arrest to serve out the remaining time.

House arrest and serving time partly due to “overcrowding” in L.A. jails; I wonder if that really serves justice or not? Things must be really bad in your jail system if sentences have to be reduced because ot that issue.
