If you’ve been holding out for a [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Creedence Clearwater Revival[/lastfm] reunion, you better let go.   The band whose success was in the late 60s to early 70s and consisted of [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]John Fogerty[/lastfm], his brother [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Tom Fogerty[/lastfm] (he died in 1990), [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Stu Cook[/lastfm], and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Doug Clifford[/lastfm], will not be reuniting.

After breaking up in the 70s, the band went through nothing but drama including lawsuits between the members of the group due to betrayal and deceit.  The blood between the remaining members is so bad that when the band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1993, Fogerty refused to acknowledge the other two.

In 1997, band members Stu Cook and Doug Clifford joined together to tour under the name Creedence Clearwater Revisited.  This did not sit too well with Fogerty, who sued the two.

This past July, things were looking pretty bright about the three guys getting back together for a reunion.  “Realizing that it doesn’t really kick up a big firestorm of emotion, it kind of suggests that at least if someone started talking I’d sit still long enough to listen,” Fogerty told the Calgary Herald.

But in an interview being released in the February issue of Uncut Magazine, both Cook and Clifford say differently, due to their broken relationship with Fogerty.

“Leopards don;t change their spots.  This is just an image-polishing by John.  My phone certainly hasn’t rung.  It might have been a nice idea 20 years ago, but it’s too late,” Clifford told the Magazine.
