Ted Williams: Man With The ‘Golden Voice’ One Year Later

His story captivated the nation, and now exactly one year later after the video taken by The Colombus Dispatch of  Ted Williams, the homeless man with the “Golden Radio Voice,” went viral, Entertainment Tonight cameras caught up with him to see where he is today!

In a true rags to riches story, Ted Williams is now committed to sobriety and working his ‘golden voice’ on outlets including Entertainment Tonight, NECN, and even in Kraft macaroni and cheese commercials.

In the past year, Ted has sobered up, moved into a spacious home, written a memoir of his incredible journey and continues to work as a voice over artist.

ET caught up with Ted to see where he is now in the video clip below!

I remember reading about his plight over a year ago and I read also “that he went back to his old ways”, but I guess that just goes to show you that “you can’t believe everything you read” as this video proves. Good for him!

There’s a song that would describe this type of story (a good news story that the world could use right now) sung by Jeff Buckley, it’s on fallopian YOUTUBE.

    Check out and type:

    Jeff Buckely-Halleluhah (Original Studio Version)

Great song! It was played at Jack Layton’s funeral last Auguts (he was the late opposition leader in Canada’s Parliament who died of cancer last August). I remember watching it!
