The ‘Tickets @ 2’ song to listen for between two and three is “You’re So Vain” by [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Carly Simon[/lastfm].

The person Simon is singing about remains a mystery, as she has never made it clear who she wrote about. Rumors include Warren Beatty, Kris Kristofferson, Cat Stevens, and Mick Jagger, all of whom she had affairs with.

In fact the male back-up vocal in the song is that of Mick Jagger. Simon married James Taylor a month before the song was released. She did say it’s definitely not about him.

In 2001, Carly sang on Janet Jackson’s “Son Of A Gun,” which was an updated version of the hit.

When you hear it between two and three we’ll take caller #15 at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) to win a pair of tickets to Pacific Symphony’s Casablanca” at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa.

I love Carly Simon! Remeber her “Tapestry” albuum? Grat album with great songs! “You’re So Vain” has alwasys been one of my favorites of hers for years! She wrote her own version of the classic version of the children’s song “Itsy Bitsy Spider” (I’m sure you casn find it on fallopian YOUTUBE! Check it out!)

Your’e close, but “Tapestry” was actually Carole King’s classic effort….I believe James Taylor and King recently played a few small venues together so maybe that’s a factor in the mix-up.
