Having just come off their first official reunion on stage at the GRAMMYs this year, Mike and Brian tell us their reaction to performing in front of the “trippy audience” of Lady Gaga, Sir Paul and John Legend, plus millions of viewers worldwide.

“It was a trippy audience,” Mike commented. “All those people from all areas of music groovin’ the ‘Good Vibrations’. It was very cool.”

“We’re very proud of ourselves,” added Brian.

This summer The Beach Boys are embarking on a cross country tour to celebrate their 50th Anniversary, which includes a date at The Hollywood Bowl that sold out in just a couple of days.

But for fans who lost out on scoring tickets for The Bowl, Mike and Brian have announced an additional Southern California date at The Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine on Sunday, June 3rd, the day after playing The Bowl.  Tickets for the Irvine show go on sale on March 12th on

Now that all the Beach Boys have reunited for the first time in over twenty years, the members found that it was easy for them to pick up right where they left off back in the ’60s while recording new music together.

“We can still make good music together,” said Mike. “It’s really great hearing the harmonies come back at ya, and Brian’s crafted some really great tracks. We’re doing vocals, lyrics and different things, so if you listen back in the studio, it sounds like mid ’60s to me.”

“After 50 years, I knew this day will be an emotional, sentimental kind of thing,” said Brian.

This summer is going to be all about the Beach Boys back together doing what they do best – spreading those Good Vibrations to adoring fans everywhere.

50 Years of the Beach Boy’s! WOW! Great for them! My faves have to be “Surfin U.S.A.”, ‘Surfer Girl (think of FIona when I listen to that and walking hand in hand along the beach shore—sans tsunamis, “Good Vibrations” ( I do when I think of her), “Fun! Fun! Fun!” (whatevet that is), “Be True to Your School”, “I Get Around”, “I Can Here Music”, “Help me Rhonda”. Those would be my favorites.
