Will Ferrell Announces ‘Anchorman’ Sequel On ‘Conan’

Dressed in his ‘sex-panthered,’ polyester-suit finest, comedian Will Ferrell appeared as his hugely popular movie alter ego, Ron Burgundy, on Conan Wednesday night to announce the big news that there will be a sequel to his 2004 comedy, Anchorman!

Emerging from the curtains, Ferrell as Burgundy rocked a bit of the jazz flute before making the announcement many have long been waiting for.

“As of oh-nine-hundred hours Mountain Time, Paramount Pictures and myself, Ronald Joseph Aaron Burgundy, have come to terms on a sequel for ‘Anchorman.’ It is official: There will be a sequel to ‘Anchorman,'” Ferrell revealed on Wednesday episode of Conan.

    I’m excited about the return of Ron Burgundy’s jacket (the color that is); it reminds me of dad’s that he used to wear (a little bit anyway). I saw “Anchorman” and found it hilarious! Looking forward to the new one! Wonder if it will be better then the first one (usually, the sequals are lamer). SHould be exciting to see!
