To help us all get down and shake our booties for a ’70s Boogie Night concert is none other than Disco King Harry Casey and the KC and the Sunshine Band!

We had Harry help us make the big announcement of the K-EARTH 101 California Music Festival and AIDS Walk this morning, which features a headlining show from KC and the Sunshine Band among other great 70s acts, plus food, games, and fun all to support the 25th anniversary of the AIDS Healthcare Foundation.

The event happening May 20th is hosted by Magic Johnson and all your favorite K-EARTH 101 DJs with all the proceeds going towards the AHF. Harry called in this morning to tell us his excitement of performing the best disco hits of the 70s along with incredible performers like Heatwave, Thelma Houston, Cheryl Lynn and more for a 70s Boogie Night concert at The Greek Theater.

“It’s going to be a lot of fun and I know we’re going to bring a lot of energy to it,” said KC. “What’s most important beside the 40th anniversary of K-EARTH, it’s for a great cause. We’re still fighting AIDS and a lot of other diseases out there. It’s a great thing and everybody’s going to have a good time.”

I remember KC and the Sunshine Band (great music to dance to fromt he 70’s and who says that disco’s dead or sucks; I don’t think so! I will dance to anything with a beat!)

Good luck with that fundraiser. Have FUN!
