During K-EARTH 101’s ’70s Boogie Nights concert at the Greek Theatre for the California Music Festival and AIDS Walk on Sunday, fans and the artists playing that night all found out the sad news about Robin Gibb’s passing.

With emotional tributes in memory of Robin from artists throughout the night, one artist who was very close to the Gibb family shared his memories of Robin.

We spoke to Harry Casey of KC & The Sunshine Band backstage at the Greek before his performance to hear his reflections on his good friend Robin and what his music meant to him.

“It’s very sad news about Robin’s death,” Casey said. “I’ve sent condolences to the family. I don’t know what else to say except that it’s just tragic news.”
