By Britt Bickel

This morning, we’re paying tribute to the life and career of Don Grady, who played the friendly face Robbie Douglas on the hit series My Three Sons during its run from 1960-72.

Don passed away at the age of 68 on Wednesday in Thousand Oaks, Calif. after a battle with cancer. In honor of his career as an actor turned musician/composer, we found the final in studio interview with Don on The K-EARTH 101 Morning Show in 2009.

Watch the clip below to hear Don talk about filming My Three Sons (and almost not getting cast as Robbie), the release of his album Boomer, and making a living as a successful composer and musician.
