Weirdest Things You Can Buy From Vending Machines

The vending machine is not just for cold drinks and office snacks anymore, nowadays you can purchase the most unlikely items in a convenient to-go package while on the run.

Convenient store 7-Eleven is the most recent to jump on the crazy-item train by selling instant mashed potatoes from an automated machine, just to satisfy all those late-night cravings for potatoes and gravy that creep up on you.

If you don’t believe us, check out the video of the new machine that dispenses single-portioned mashed potatoes with a nice top-off of gravy!

So this wild contraption got us thinking…what other random items can you buy from vending machines these days? Locally, Sprinkles Cupcakes debuted their cupcake ATM, but in other places around the world, vending machine items get even more bizarre.

In Osaka, Japan, you can pick out your own live lobster from a claw game-like machine; in Europe, they’ve developed vending machines to cook up hot pizzas; and you can even pick up eggs on the way home from a vending machine!

We’ve also seen weird items like underwear, full cans of Pringles, hot dogs, french fries, umbrellas, electronics and even toilet paper being sold out of vending machines.

Let us know, what is the weirdest thing you’ve ever seen being sold out of a vending machine?! Share it in the comments below!
