Today's Tickets @ 2 Song: "I Ran (So Far Away)/" by A Flock of Seagulls
By Britt Bickel

We had the pleasure of speaking with the funkadelic bassist for the always remarkable group Earth, Wind & Fire this morning about their upcoming show at the O.C. Fair this Saturday!

Verdine White just celebrated his birthday this week, and is bringing all his energy and excitement to celebrate with EWF fans this Saturday for a rockin’ show that will have you dancing in your seats!

Just like Verdine, EWF’s music seems to get better and better with age. There’s something about the high-quality production value of the music that keeps these beloved hits sounding brand new each time you hear them. Verdine credits his older brother and founder of the group for his meticulous ear mixing their music.

“He really produced and mixed those albums to a T,” said Verdine. “They sound as new today as they did when we put them out.”

You can groove to all of EWF’s biggest hits spanning over 40 years this Saturday at the O.C. Fair. You’ll hear an extensive 30-song set list of all your favorites including “Let’s Groove, Boogie Wonderland,” “Shining Star,” and the big crowd-pleaser, “September.”
