In honor of the eleventh anniversary of 9/11, it’s only fitting to reflect on all the amazing reconstruction New York City has undergone in the past 11 years since the destruction of the Twin Towers.

Nothing is more of a symbol of America’s ability to overcome and persevere after attacks on the nation than the construction of NYC’s newest skyscraper – the One World Trade Center.

The building is set to become the city’s tallest building (third tallest in the world) at 104 stories and 1,776 feet and will reach completion in 2013. In honor of the 9/11 anniversary, EarthCam has released a new video that features the incredible time lapse building of the structure amongst the gorgeous NYC skyline.

The YouTube video description reads:

“In honor of the 11th anniversary of September 11th, EarthCam is proud to premiere this new commemorative time-lapse with cinematic views of the World Trade Center site from multiple webcams. The movie focuses on the rise of One World Trade Center, New York’s tallest building, and has spectacular shots of the entire downtown New York City skyline. The footage was captured between February 2010 and September 2012.”
