Our ‘Tickets @ 2′ song of the day is from The Byrds, “Turn, Turn, Turn! (To everything there is a season).”

Adapted almost entirely from the Book of Ecclesiasties in the Bible (with the exception of the last line) and put to music by Pete Seeger in 1959. Seeger waited until 1962 to record his own version.

The song became an international hit in 1965 when it was covered by The Byrds, reaching #1 in that year. The Byrds’ version of the song easily holds the record for the #1 hit with the oldest lyrics.

When you hear it play between two and three we’ll take the 10th caller to win a four-pack of tickets to Batman Live at Staples Center. Call in at 1-800-232-KRTH.(5784) when you hear the song play!
