Today's Tickets @ 2 Song: "Roam" by B-52s

2012 has been an exciting year for Led Zeppelin fans: the band announced the release of Celebration Day, a live album and film from their 2007 one-off reunion concert. And Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones have said that they’ll attend the Kennedy Center Honors event in December, where they are being honored alongside Buddy Guy, David Letterman, Dustin Hoffman and ballerina Natalia Makarova. But now 2013 is also shaping up to be a good year for Zep fans.

Page reportedly told British magazine Mojo (Plant, Page and Jones are on the cover of the current issue) that he’s planning on releasing expanded versions of each Zeppelin album, with artwork re-designed by Shepard Fairley (who also did the honors for the Celebration Day cover, and who is well known for the iconic “hope” and “change” posters used during President Obama’s 2008 campaign).

Page is also said to be working on new music; if he puts out an album, it would be his first since his 1998 collaboration with Plant, Walking Into Clarksdale. Meanwhile, Plant tells Mojo that he’s guesting on the upcoming album by Scottish rock band Primal Scream. ┬áPlant played harmonica on “The Lord Is My Shotgun” from their 2002 album Evil Heat. Plant, who has put out two live releases this year, is expected to have a new solo record out in the coming months as well.
