After five decades of performing on stages around the world, it’s hard to believe that entertainment’s sweetheart sibling duo Donny and Marie Osmond have never performed live on stage together in Los Angeles.

That surprising revelation came up during an exclusive interview with K-EARTH 101 Morning Show’s Lisa Stanley in reference to the Osmond’s upcoming holiday engagement ‘Donny & Marie – Christmas In Los Angeles’ at the Pantages Theatre.

“This is really weird, but Marie and I have never performed together live in Los Angeles,” Donny revealed to Lisa. “This is going to be a first.”

Their holiday show spawned off from their Broadway Christmas show, and because the audience response was so positive, they decided to make it an annual event.

“We were pleasantly surprised that the response was overwhelming,” said Marie. “So we decided every year to take it to a different city, and it kind of puts us in the Christmas spirit.”

Having done numerous Christmas specials in the past, fans have long associated Osmond’s variety shows with the Christmas season, and they plan on continuing that tradition.

“I think this show brings a memory of happier times,” Marie explained. “Our family has been tied into Christmas since we were really, really young.”

You can expect plenty of happy memories from the duo to relive all those holiday moments, as well as a modern twist to what the siblings are up to now.

“I think it’s important to put in the nostalgia and take them back to innocent times, happier times, but yet bring them up to date as to what we’re doing now,” added Donny. “Fifty years is a long time, so we give them a lot of stuff.”

Even after five decades of performing, Donny and Marie still remain closer than ever and there’s no trace of any sibling rivalry between the two, well unless it’s over a certain topic of Dancing With The Stars.

Though both have competed on the hit show, with Marie making it to the finals, Donny isn’t shy to remind his younger sister that he “got the trophy.”

There isn’t a lot left for the beloved duo to accomplish in their careers, but they do have a few things they’d like to check off their bucket lists.

For Marie, she would like to play The Met sometime after the Christmas show, and for Donny, he’s working on completing his 60th album for his 50th anniversary in music next year.

“It’s going to be a special project for me, so I’m taking my time working on this and make sure it’s ready,” he said.

Until then, you can reminisce with the Osmonds and get into the holiday spirit for their three week engagement at the Pantages running from December 4-23.
