Today’s ‘Tickets @ 2’ hit is “Who Can It Be Now?” by Men at Work.

This was the first single Men at Work released, and it became a huge hit, reaching #1, the album was #1 for 15 weeks, a record at the time for longest stay at #1 for a debut album. It was knocked out of the #1 spot by Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.”

The group started as an acoustic duo with singer Colin Hay and guitarist Ron Strykert. After a few years playing pubs in Australia, they were discovered by an American who worked for CBS records and signed them.

Colin Hay was born in Scotland but moved to Australia with his family when he was 14. The group won a Grammy for Best New Artist from 1982.

When we play it between two and three we’ll take caller #10 at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) to win a pair of tickets to see Donny & Marie-Christmas in Los Angeles coming to the Pantages December 4th through the 23rd.
