The Today Show‘s Al Roker has set a new standard when it comes to side-line reporting while covering the inaugural parade Monday.

Roker scored the first “interview” with a newly sworn in President Obama by shouting his name like a mad man from the side-lines until he got his attention. Obama then gave Roker a smile and thumbs up after he asked “Is the weather ok?”

With his NBC co-anchor Brian Williams egging him on, Roker then attempted to get Vice President Joe Biden to come over to the side-lines by again shouting out his name. To his surprise, Biden ran over and gave Roker a quick handshake before returning to the parade!

The icing on top of the cake comes when a triumphant Roker does an epic mic drop, throws his hands up in the air and walks off camera.

Can’t do better than Roker. Watch the entire clip below!
