Pop superstar Kelly Clarkson has blasted music mogul Clive Davis in an online letter to fans on Tuesday claiming the music exec bullied her over the recording her hit singles “Since U Been Gone” and “Because Of You.”

Clarkson writes in her post on that Davis has twisted some of the facts in his new memoir Soundtrack Of My Life and accuses him of spreading mis-information. In the book, Davis says that Clarkson burst into “hysterical sobbing” in his office because she did not want to include her now hit “Since U Been Gone” on her 2004 album.

Clarkson admits that she did cry, but over an entirely different song saying she was upset after letting the music honcho listen to a song she wrote “Because Of You.” She writes that Davis told her he hated it and called her a “s****y songwriter.”

She wrote in her post, “I cried because he hated it. …This was devastating coming from a man who I, as a young girl, considered a musical hero and was so honored to work with. But I continued to fight for the song and the label relented. And it became a worldwide hit. He didn’t include that in the book.”

Davis has since responded to Clarkson’s letter saying that her version is wrong and is “truly sorry that she has decided to take issue with what he knows to be an accurate depiction of their time together.”
