R&B icon Chaka Khan celebrated her 60th birthday on Thursday (March 21) surrounded by friends, family and, of course, some legends from the music business.

Anita Barker and Natalie Cole were a few of the artists in attendance at the event at Yamashiro restaurant in Los Angeles, which also celebrated her 40th year in the music business. The party featured a special “Happy Birthday” video, highlighted by a short performance by Stevie Wonder.

“I don’t know where the time went,” Khan told CBS LA.  “I have no idea. It doesn’t feel like 40 years!” The celebration also marks Khan’s 40th year in music. The landmark occasion earned Khan the cover of Billboard magazine’s Stars Tribute issue, which hit newsstands March 16.

Khan, whose real birth date is March 23rd, continued the birthday celebration in Miami Saturday night, where she tweeted a photo of her birthday cake.

In other Chaka news, Khan performed at the Florida AIDS Walk in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Khan has long been a supporter of HIV/AIDS organizations.
