Easter Weekend Celebrations Around SoCal

Easter weekend is here and there’s plenty of activities for the whole family taking place all weekend long! Check out a few Easter celebrations happening in L.A. courtesy of golosangeles.about.com.

Glow in the Dark Easter Egg Hunt

This isn’t your average Easter egg hunt – take the older kids to experience the glow in the dark hunt for candy and prizes hidden in eggs. The event is free and open to the public for kids between 11-17 years old.

Bunny’s Spring Fling at the LA Zoo & Botanical Gardens

  • When: Easter Weekend, Fri-Sun 10 am – 4 pm

The Easter Bunny will be making an appearance at the LA Zoo for this weekend event with kids crafts, face painting, music and more!

Easter at L.A. Live

  • When: Easter Sunday, 10 am – 2:30 pm
  • Where: Nokia Plaza at L.A. Live

The Nokia Plaza at L.A. Live will be taken over with a fun family festival, arts and crafts, Easter egg hunt and an Easter service in the morning. This Easter event is free and open to the public.

Blessing of the Animals at Olvera Street

  • When: Saturday of Easter weekend, noon to 5 pm
  • Where: El Pueblo Historic Park at Olvera Street

Bring your pet for a blessing from Cardinal Roger Mahoney in the annual Blessing of Animals at Olvera Street. A decorated cow leads the procession of animals followed by free pony rides and a petting zoo for all the kids to enjoy.

Pershing Square Community Egg Hunt

This free downtown event includes an Easter egg hunt for the kids, prizes, storytelling, entertainment and more!

When: Saturday March 30, 2013, 11:30 to 3:30 pm
