Jumping Jack Flash, the Stones are back! The Rolling Stones announced today (4/3) plans for their U.S. “50 And Counting” tour that kicks off right here in Los Angeles at the Staples Center!

The “50 And Counting” tour continues the band’s celebration of  their first five decades in music, and will bring their iconic hits for performances across the country, including a second SoCal date at the Honda Center in Anaheim on May 15th.

“’50 AND COUNTING’ has been pretty amazing so far,” said Jagger in the official press announcement. “We did a few shows in London and New York last year…and had such a good time that we thought…let’s do some more. It’s a good show. Lots of the classic stuff everyone wants to hear…with a few little gems tucked in here and there.”

As an added bonus, Mick Taylor, Stones member from 1969-74, has been added as a special guest throughout the tour. The Stones are bringing a high-energy production with high-tech special effects and an custom-designed stage modeled after the Stones iconic lips logo that extends into the audience.

“The stage is shaped like lips and goes off into the venue so I get to run around in the crowd,” added Jagger. “It’s great fun to be able to get that close to the audience.”

The Staples Center date is yet to be announced pending NBA/NHL playoff schedules, so keep checking back at K-EARTH 101 for updates! Ticket on sale dates are also pending, and will be announced at a later date.
