Today's Tickets @ 2 Song: "Live And Let Die" by Paul McCartney

Did You Know: “Boys Of Summer” By Don Henley

Today’s ‘Tickets @ 2’ song is “Boys Of Summer” by Eagles member Don Henley. It came out in 1985.

The song is about looking back on past relationships and wanting your ex back – wanting to return to what you had.

Don Henley told NME that he really did see a Deadhead sticker on a Cadillac. He said: “I was driving down the 405 and got passed by a $21,000 Cadillac Seville, the status symbol of the upper-middle-class American Bourgeoise – all the guys with blue blazers and grey pants – and there was this Grateful Dead ‘Deadhead’ bumper sticker on it!”

The title comes from a baseball book by Roger Kahn called “Boys Of Summer.” The book is about The Brooklyn Dodgers, who broke the hearts of their fans when they moved to Los Angeles.

When we play it between two and three we’ll take caller # 13 (as in lucky) at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) to win a pair of tickets to see The Hit Men, the original Four Season with Frankie Valli at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts.
