Did You Know: “Low Rider” By War

This afternoon’s ‘Tickets @ 2’ song is “Low Rider” by War.

This Top 10 hit perfectly depicts the Southern California Car Culture life style originating in East L.A. The cars are modified with hydraulic lifts that allow the cars to be raised or lowered, and even bounce.

War’s drummer Harold Brown, who was a founding member of the band, knows his way around cars and had his own business working on them.

Harold says driving a modified car is like riding around in your trophy.

Wshen we play it between two and three we’ll take caller # 8 at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) to win a pair of tickets to see Gladys Knight Thursday April 18th at the Segerstrom in the OC. Good Luck!
