BritWeek is in full swing around Los Angeles with dozens of events and concerts celebrating all things British taking place around the city through May 6th.
In honor of BritWeek in L.A., famed music producer Peter Asher joined us to talk about his special BritWeek concert taking place at Santa Monica Place on May 4th.
Peter is hosting a fantastic day of music featuring The Beatles’ Abbey Road performed in full by artists Denny Laine of the Moody Blues And Wings and Terry Sylvester of the Hollies, and much more.
Peter kicks off the event with a live set on stage at Santa Monica Place this Sat. May 4, 2013 at 7 p.m. Peter notes that Denny and Terry’s unique show of The Beatles’ Abbey Road has been performed all around the world before, but this is the first time it’s coming to L.A.
”This may be the first time it’s come to L.A. I think,” Peter said. “It’s a terrific version of the album. You can tell just like bands everywhere just playing those songs is so much fun, so when you get great singers like [Denny and Terry] doing it, it’s really a pleasure. I’m looking forward to it.”
