Did You Know: “Saturday In The Park” By Chicago

Today’s ‘Tickets @ 2’ song is “Saturday In The Park” by Chicago. It came out in 1972, and became the group’s first gold single.

Chicago’s main songwriter, Robert Lamm, wrote it after a particularly exhilarating 4th of July spent in New York’s Central Park, where steel drum players, singers, dancers, and jugglers, were performing.

When we play it between two and three we’ll take caller #13 to win a pair of tickets to see Lionel Richie at the historic Hollywood Bowl in October. Call us at 1-800-232-KRTH.(5784) and we want to wish Lionel a happy 64th Birthday today!
