On ‘Tickets @ 2’ today it’s a song Bob Seger got the inspiration for while driving through the Hollywood Hills one night in 1977. The chorus came to him while behind the wheel.

Seger’s drummer David Teegarden asked for a tape after laying down the track to listen to on his way home from the studio. He called Seger the next day and told him that while listening to the tape, he looked down and found himself going 100 miles an hour on the freeway. Now that’s a driving beat!

When we play it between two and three we’ll take caller # 10 at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) to win a pair of tickets to an upcoming L.A. Kings Hockey game as a guest of the National Brain Tumor Society.

By the way, if you’d like to register to walk this Saturday at the L.A. Brain Tumor Walk today is the deadline to register onlline at www.braintumor.org. Walk or donate for much needed research, and walk-ups are welcome this Saturday from 8 to 9 a.m. at  Exposition Park by the L.A. Coliseum. Thank you and I’ll see you there.
