K-EARTH 101 Morning Show’s Gary Bryan has joined forces with the USO Great Los Angeles and Habitat For Humanity to host a special groundbreaking ceremony and BBQ festival in honor of Veteran’s Day on Saturday, November 9th.

The two organizations are breaking ground on a new Habitat Enriched Neighborhood and memorial for veterans in Santa Clarita. To celebrate the new project, the organizations are throwing a street festival and BBQ in honor of Veteran’s Day at 21545 Centre Pointe Parkway in Santa Clarita from 11:30 am – 4 pm.

Gary Bryan will emcee the events, which also includes a special appearance by actress Melora Hardin from The Office, plus more guests to be announced. The festival will also feature food, games, entertainment and a chili cookoff. Plus, the winner of the International Chili Society sanctioned cookoff will be eligible to go on to compete at the 2014 World’s Championship Chili Cookoff!

Homes built in Habitat For Humanity’s new Habitat Enriched Neighborhood will serve low-income veteran families and provide no-cost social and educational services including veteran assistance and after school tutoring for children.

Admission prices for the event are $20 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under until Nov. 9th (online) and free for military/veterans. Tickets can be purchased at http://www.humanityca.org/ourevents.
