Some Southern Californians caught quite the lightshow Wednesday night when a giant fireball was reported streaking across the night sky.

Many witnesses reported seeing a bright flash in the sky around 8 p.m. last night. According to Fox News, forecasters say the flash was most likely a meteor, which the National Weather Service explains probably came from the South Taurids meteor shower, which has been most active in early November.
