Today's Tickets @ 2 Song: "Always Something There To Remind Me" by Naked Eyes
By Britt Bickel

Ron McNeil who plays John Lennon and Ardy Sarraf who plays Paul McCartney in the ultimate Beatles tribute band, The Fab Four, joined The K-EARTH 101 Morning Show live in studio to tell us about their upcoming L.A. show and holiday album.

There’s a reason why The Fab Four is referred to as the “ultimate tribute” group to The Beatles, and it’s all because of their close attention to detail with their roles and the music. To give you an idea of just how much regard they put into their roles, Ron has John’s looks down to a pat, even to the chewing gun while performing, and Ardy learned to play left-handed just for the show.

“I think what separates us from the other groups is our attention to detail. We try to make sure it all looks as much like The Beatles as we can,” explained Ron. “We try to make a connection with people and all of their great memories to all this great music. When you think about it, we’re really just a mirror of their own memories.”

One of those major Beatle memories for many fans is watching the group perform live on TV in the U.S. for the very first time on The Ed Sullivan Show.

This coming February is the 50th anniversary of the Beatles’ appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show, and while CBS has a special all-star tribute show lined up to honor the group’s milestone, The Fab Four hopes to plan a little tribute of their own.

Ron tell us that the group will be in New York on the anniversary (Feb. 9th) and are in talks with theaters and TV shows to work out a special performance in honor of the day. And who knows, with the original Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York now hosting a little CBS show called Late Night With David Letterman, maybe a trip to the place where it all went down is in hand. Ron says he’s keeping his “fingers crossed” that something pans out.

“I tell you what would be fun if we did a song and the real Paul and Ringo pushed us out of the way and performed,” he joked.

The band also has a brand new Christmas album out now called Hark! featuring 22 classic holiday tunes performed in a Beatles style. The Fab Four will be performing at The Grove of Anaheim on Nov. 29th at 8 p.m. Purchase tickets for the show here.
